Hello! I’m Dominique (she/her) the creator of Some Sources Say.
I created this blog in 2016 to continue researching and writing about historical people, places and events after completing my university studies. I volunteered and worked in the heritage sector for 10 years in a variety of different roles within museums, heritage houses and archives. I have a lot of experience in using archival sources for historical research, which I utilise here at Some Sources Say.

This is a general history blog, but my main research interests are women’s history and medieval/early modern Europe so you’ll see a lot of content relating to these areas. Each month I choose a designated history topic which all my content centres around, past topics include Mothers & Daughters and Stories Behind Paintings.
I create a mixture of articles, recommendations and videos, and since June 2021 have begun making free downloadable historical research tips & advise booklets. I have also guest posted for other great history blogs and website, which you can find here.
If this sounds like the blog for you then you can join my monthly History Drop mailing list where you’ll get a monthly round up of all my latest blog posts and other history content.
If you’re on social media you can also follow me on Instagram and Twitter.
Thank you for taking the time to visit Some Sources Say, if you have any questions, queries or feedback please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
